Just finished grooming Montana Creek. Conditions : 1st kilometer ski with care due low snow coverage and rocks present. Marked a lot of these with red chalk and shoveled snow on to needed areas. Skate lane cleaned up pretty well with the ginzu. New classic track started past the second slide zone. Classic track from there on is quite nice. Walking down past the containers to start is required – icy conditions until then.

I skate skied the lower loop around midday. It was a challenge! A rounded hump down the center of the skate lane with surprise soft spots on the sides. Went up this morning to refresh the lower loop. I did NOT groom it as I would have made it worse. There is a bit of a rain crust with softer snow underneath. Not the best skiing.
