Merry Christmas from the lower loop!

I skate skied the lower loop around midday. It was a challenge! A rounded hump down the center of the skate lane with surprise soft spots on the sides. Soft spots are forming in unexpected places down the center, even on the hardened trail. Ski with caution. Classic skis might be a better choice. That being said, I had fun! Skiing in these conditions will sharpen your skills and make you appreciate a well-groomed trail. Merry Christmas and Happy Skiing!
