JNST Pursuit Race today

The Juneau Nordic Team is racing today from 10 to about 11:15 on the lake and in the campground. Everyone is always welcome to use the trails during the races – just a heads up if you want to avoid the crowd.

Eagle Beach groomed Friday night

Eagle Beach was rolled Friday. Snow is getting wetter and dog and people tracks had left some big divots in the track but it smoothed out and groomed up nicely. There’s plenty of snow – 10-12″ on level ground .

Paul reported that 4 wheelers had wiped the set track out in many places. He could not tell were I stated at the Skaters Cabin yesterday. More Juneau idiots. Makes you wonder why you just spent two hours grooming it!

Eagle Beach campground is in good shape for both classic and skate. Classic is excellent, the track is also set on other side of highway behind Methodist Camp, very nice, but be aware it is “gritty” under the highway bridge. Skating is pretty darn good...

Montana Creek
