skier

They are getting rolling and grooming the mtn. As I was snowshoeing down, it looked like they were grooming a part of the upper loop. Be careful of equipment, skiers, and fun!

Lower Loop Groomed

We ran a groomer around the lower loop this afternoon and had the packer bar on it. I’m not gonna say it came out great, but it should provide some fun earlier season skiing. Lets hope the rain doesn’t wash it out and the cold that comes in after locks in...

Montana Creek packed

Scott packed Montana Creek this morning. He could only get the roller to the bottom of the first big hill, not enough space to get it across the bridge. But the trail is machine packed all the way to the end. He was able to just barely get the machine around the...

Rolled

Eagle beach received only 2 more inches of snow this morning. The campground and trails were rolled and packed but no classic track was set. More snow is needed to set the track. The back loop of the campground still has some very thin spots and was not rolled this...

Mendenhall Rerolled this AM

Rolled campground again this morning. Not enough snow to set a classic track yet. Need another 6″ plus of new snow for that. Skateable conditions though and enough to start the season.

Campground regroomed

Scott is repacking the campground this afternoon. Snow is starting to set up and it’s looking better for skate skiing. Snow is sticky. Maxiglide recommended for waxless skis.

groomer

Eagle Beach has about 6-8″ of new snow as of Wednesday morning. The main parking lot has been plowed. The campground road and trails were rolled this morning. No classic track was set. The back loop is still pretty thin to ski on. We won’t be rolling the...

Groomer

Montana Creek bypass around land slide not completed yet. The gate is closed now. We have moved some grooming equipment in place. You can get past the landslide on skis. The slide is about 1/2 mile above the bridge.

Groomer

Camp Ground will be rolled tomorrow. Should be good for skate. Note the closed gate has been changed. It is posted.

Lower loop report

As of 3:30 PM yesterday, there was about 4 inches of snow on the lower loop. There were ski tracks, but the snow cover was definitely thin and rock ski conditions. From this morning’s Eaglecrest website report, it looks like it snowed about 3 inches more...
