Upper Loop beautifully groomed

Skied the upper loop tonight with the Juneau Nordic Ski Team and it is in beautiful condition. Skate skiing was smooth and fast. Classic track is nicely set – deep, smooth tracks. Thank you, Eaglecrest!

Eagle Beach rolled and groomed Friday, 12-18

Track is skate ready with everything skiable save for the backmost loop in the trees. Loops are back atop Mt. Mike as well as around it’s base. Did not set a classic track as we need just a bit more snow depth to pull that off.

Scott just finished grooming the campground and reports that skate ski conditions are excellent. Classic track is in fair condition. It’s a little thin in places and there may be some rocks in track.
