Monday update at the campground

January 29. grooming is postponed until later. Winds back here are extremely strong with gusts greater than 50. Things are flying around. And of course, the horizontal rain is pretty impressive too. -DG-

Roller groomed with many footsteps. Skating possible & classic using existing track. Conditions should get better over time.

1515: partially groomed. Tag team new groomer started now setting classic. Soft. Trees shedding. Thanks to two good samaritans who helped me unstick the groomer. BF

Anticipate plenty of problems and difficulties depending on amount and condition of snow. Hope to be partially groomed by noon, if I can get my driveway obligations done enough to groom. BF

Round 2 Campground groom

Cranked up on roasted marshmallow and chocolate the campground got a refresh by a couple of amateur groomers. Not really up to Scott Fischer standards, but pretty good enough for the after party. Finished about 4pm.

Groomed early and 9F then with hard surface.

Left classic untouched as too hard to improve. Did make three passes with Ginzu and cleaned up much of skate marks but that surface is also very hard. No real wind there and at least it’s a good day to get a lap in before heading back for hot liquids. The Stone...
