Classic track shallow and fast!

Skied to end and back at 1 pm and only person on the trail. Never remember there being this much snow on the pioneer road this late in the season! Classic tracks were shallow and fast, with good kick and glide on fish scale waxless skis. The chuck holes at the road...

Pioneer Rd Status

Skate-ski and foot traffic portion of the road has been groomed. The classic was in decent enough condition that it didn’t warrant being reset. It’s wet and raining, so use wax for warm temps.

Groomer

Pioneer is not freshly groomed but skiable. The skate is rough with an inch of loose snow on top. Classic has a shallow track with that inch of snow packed on top An inch might be generous. Snow on the way
