This morning was firm base with about one inch or more of fresh light snow. I was able to run the groomer for skate and fill in some of the footprint and paw holes on the skate lane. Groomed for skate this morning. Surface is very hard. Skate is about 30% ice but I did scratch up some texture. Better snow is on the far loop heading towards the rock peninsula. Groomed for skate at campground–turned out very good. Did not do classic. I made one pass on the lake to the start of Dredge Lakes trail. It should be ok for skate ski. Mendenhall lake to Dredge Lake has been groomed. Conditions are very good on the groomed trail. Stay on the trail to avoid slush under the snow cover or your skis may ice up. EnJoy
