Sneaky road access is smooth and skiable for uphill access to upper loop. Nice packed powder skate skiing and there is a good classic track now but it is getting filled in by new snow. That’s a good thing. 🙂

Eaglecrest packed the upper loop for skate skiing and it’s pretty good. Walk (or skate) up the road, stay to one side and be aware of downhill traffic. They said they will groom it tonight so it should be nice tomorrow. Thank you, Eaglecrest!

We groomed a small upper loop today. No classic track. It should make for some fun skiing. Please be mindful of mountain equipment as there is a lot of activity on the mountain.

They are getting rolling and grooming the mtn. As I was snowshoeing down, it looked like they were grooming a part of the upper loop. Be careful of equipment, skiers, and fun!

Upper Loop: Ray and I tried to set a loop above the base of Black Bear Chair. The Classic setter did not want to sink into the snow for a good Classic Track. Even with 225 lbs. of weight on it. It is skiable but an Adventure.

EC upper loop nice for touring

Snow is soft and easy to ski tour on upper loop. I skied entire upper loop this morning, with a few interesting creek crossings and an occasional bushwhack through light brush. Easy hike up either Sneaky or road and no problem skiing down on skinny skis.
