Skate lane groomed this morning, looks fast. Classic in good condition. Still no access to campground parking lot, but trail from DOT turnoff has been packed, and the trail from the bridge to the main track has been groomed. And lots of sunshine to boot!

Eaglecrest lower loop is skiing pretty well with a good classic track and fairly decent skate Lane. They have not regroomed as of 10:00 Thursday morning, but there is mid-morning Sun.

No Eaglecrest grooming

No grooming. Mountain Ops is waiting to repair snowcats before they can do any grooming. Not just the lower loop, but the whole mountain is ungroomed.

Eaglecrest groomed the lower loop for skate and finally set a classic track. Unfortunately, it is covered by about four inches of new snow. The North Douglas road is in rough shape, but the Eaglecrest road is better.

Full lower loop groomed for skate. Forest trails, inner and outer meadow loops, Fish Creek loop, and Guy’s Hill. Excellent conditions. Blue wax. No classic track but classic skiing is still fun on the corduroy.

Lower loop update

Eaglecrest rolled the lower loop on Monday night. No grooming since then. They are closed on Thursday, New Year’s Day. I will update from the trail on Friday. Betsy F

The Fish Creek road is plowed. The mountain is closed today, and they are turning away anyone who wants to hike or skin up. You could probably access the lower loop from the lower parking lot and have fun pushing your way through the fresh snow on classic skis.
