We went back to the upper loop Monday morning and explored the Troy Loop trail. Another adventure on classic skis. Snow is thin but skiable. One notable creek crossing in order to get to the nice snow on the slopes facing the Hilda drainage. We did not attempt the full loop as the major creek crossing at the base of the loop is not ready and the snow in the woods on that side is very thin. The road is still covered with rocks and gravel and we recommend walking up and down to save your ski bases. The track that we put in on Sunday is still intact and if you are dying to get out on your classic skis, it is better than not skiing at all!
