I just had to try grooming Montana Creek this morning at 8:30am, light rain and 30 degrees at the turn around. Past the bridge the ice pack is hard, not much more than grooved ice. If your hardy enough, ice cleats a must, there is a bit of slush on grooved ice on the upper section.
Grooming is no longer effective.
