JNSC pulled the club grooming equipment off the mountain so it can be used on the community trails. Eaglecrest is now in charge of their own trail grooming. As of today the upper and lower loops are ungroomed. The lower loop can be classic skied by following in ski set tracks.
Eaglecrest trails ungroomed

It’s too bad that JNSC has turned the Eaglecrest lower and upper loops over to Eaglecrest staff to groom. Nordic skiing doesn’t seem to be a very high priority for the ski area, so grooming may not be done has frequently, if at all, as if JNSC was continuing to groom the lower and upper loop. Besides, ski area staff have their hands full with plenty of mechanical problems to keep them busy so that snowmaking can resume, Hooter lift can start up, and Ptarmigan lift can start up for the season. I suggest that JNSC reconsider.
It’s always a juggling act with equipment breaking down and time. It seems like the Campground gets far far more community use than other trails. so when that equipment breaks down it’s important to keep that place groomed.
