Eaglecrest lower loop update

Skied first tracks on the lower loop late yesterday after the road reopened. Good early season conditions on touring XC skis, 2 inches of fluff over a bit of a breakable crust over a solid 8-10 inch base, but only sank in an inch or two. Good coverage, nice to have that heavy snow base on the gravel trail. A few ponds to dodge in the meadow. Not recommended for skating. Will see if we can roll the trail today to firm it up.
