As of Thursday afternoon, the lower loop had good coverage on the hardened sections with 6 inches of light snow over a couple inches of crust. Didn’t hit any rocks, even on the newly hardened sections. Should be a couple more inches of snow now. No grooming yet but good early season touring conditions. Still water flowing over the trail in a couple spots, hopefully the colder temps this weekend will freeze those up. Stay away from the muskeg ponds, thin ice.
