To clarify the last post, the Eaglecrest closure for hiking up and skiing was for the mountain, not the lower loop. I skied the lower loop late Wednesday and although the 5 inch rainfall shrank the snowpack from 2 feet to a bit over a foot and there are a few bare spots, most of the coverage is still good. There are a lot of needles and twigs in the wooded sections and the downhills were a bit icy. But definitely better classic skiing than Montana Creek from the photos I’ve seen there. No EC grooming until we get more snow.
