Groomer Jake is completing a pre-season compacting job on the hardened (graveled) sections of the Lower Loop trail now at 0900. This is to compact the snow (again) into a hard cold layer to make it bullet-proof for the season. Full grooming (classic and skating) will be groomed tomorrow for opening day and goal this season is to have it completed by 9am! Though, I would allow adjustments for that time for opening week….Today, should be great for skate and classic, but no classic track will be set today. Get up there and pack that base down, folks! While you’re at it, if you get the chance, thank Dave and Jake the Groomer for this early start!
