As noted in yesterday’s comment by Ray Imel, the lower loop has melted out and so we are done grooming at Eaglecrest for the season. Most of May has been on the wet side, but we got in some good late season skiing in April and a few days in May.

Thanks to Ray Imel and Dave Haas for helping with the late season grooming, and to Del Carnes and Scott Fischer for transporting the grooming equipment.

There is still plenty of snow up on the mountain for backcountry touring.

See you on the lower loop again in November. Have a good summer everyone. See you on the trails.

Sunday am. Lower Loop Lacks Lubricious Layer, lazy Groomer left laps alone. Not much snow left on the lower loop, meadow nearly dry, spotty under the trees. Sorry!

Coverage is still good. There are a few thin and/or ice spots on the Fish Creek Loop and in the meadow. The lower trail heading back to the A frame has excellent coverage. Classic track is gone. It’s fun to see the creeks, ponds and skunk cabbage emerging while spring skiing!

No grooming today with the rainy weather. Forecast calls for rain through Wednesday. We will groom next weekend if the weather is dry. That will probably be it for the season, time to switch to summer activities.

The sun has been smoothing out the skate lane. Classic track is shallow in spots but still good. Get out and ski in 55F weather!

11- noon was great with a firm base and a little corn on top. Several of us were out there.

Wow, marvelous blog layout! How long have you been blogging for?

you made blogging look easy. The overall look of your site is great, as well as the content!

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just
your articles? I mean, what you say is important and everything.
However imagine if you added some great visuals or videos to give your
posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this blog could certainly be one of the greatest in its field.
    Fantastic blog!

The section of the lower loop from the A frame to the meadow next to the road is getting pretty dirty from all the road dust. I would suggest skipping this section and staying on the part of the loop away from the road where the snow is much cleaner.

I need to take care of some projects this week and spend more time training for the Kluane bike race, so there probably won’t be any further grooming of the lower loop until Friday or Saturday.
