Looking for motivation to get out on those dark nights after work? Have a race or adventure you want to train for? Want to refine your Nordic skiing technique and gain confidence? Registration opens October 15th for Season 3 of the JNSC Adult League! (Link will go live on the 15th at www.jnski.org/shop.) Our goals are to help YOU reach your personal Nordic ski goals while building community and providing a fun and challenging weekly workout.

Weekly meetups will be Thursdays, January 2nd through March 13th, from 5:15-6:45. Other program perks include:

  • December meet and greet, including a goal-setting session
  • December/January and February Wax Clinics
  • 3+ Scheduled Sunday daylight meet-ups in January, February, and March
  • Weekly training plans
  • Ski gear consultation
  • League swag
  • New this year: we will organize an optional weekend training camp in Anchorage in January. This is not included in the program cost.

The Adult League is capped at 25 participants. Register before November 15 and get an additional dryland training plan.

Program Cost: $200*
*supports grooming and trail maintenance, coaching stipends, races and events, ski wax, swag, guest coaches, and all the many associated costs that go into running our program. All participants must be members of the Juneau Nordic Ski Club. If not a current member, a membership can be added to your order by clicking the “suggested items” below.

A note on gear: We will be instructing in both skate and classic techniques throughout the season and highly recommend you have both sets of gear; however, that should not be a barrier to participating in this program, and if you only have one set of skis, you will still be able to get a lot out of every practice! Your Coaches are available to provide tailored recommendations for ski gear before, during, and after the season if you’re looking to upgrade or get a new setup.

New to skiing or want to learn? This group may not be the right fit for you, but Eaglecrest Ski Area offers lessons for skiers of all levels.
