Calling All friends of Pioneer Road trail fun! Your assistance is needed to quell the summer alder growth along the sides of this trail. October 3, from 1-4 p.m. Meet at the gate and run or ride on out to the zone. Bring gloves, a hand rake to help dig, and a friend for the pull and toss.

If you can’t make it specifically on October 3, feel empowered during your own rambles, runs and rides out that way to take five, ten, twenty minutes and pull the baby alders (make sure to get the roots!) and throw them off to a better life in the woods. This preseason grooming is best done before freeze-up to curb the growth and allow better grooming of the full trail width for sharing this ski trail with many users this coming winter.
