Did you miss last weekend’s work party out Montana Creek? Fear not! There are plenty of alders just waiting to be rooted out along Pioneer Road. All they need is your hard work and energy:
Saturday, October 25th
9am til the alders are gone!
Pioneer Road (near end of N Douglas Hwy)
We’ll focus on the last third of the road where the alders are the worst. A shuttle will be running from the gate to the end of the road, or feel free to run/bike out there. Bring work gloves, loppers or clippers (if you have), a friend, and a strong distaste for skiing through alderlings. Our goal is to pull all that we can out of the ground, roots and all, and then clip what we can’t (pulling the roots out is ideal as it impedes future growth). Come for an hour or the whole time, right at 9am or later in the day. Just come!
Can’t make it Saturday? Head out there on your own time and pull to your heart’s desire!
