They’re BAAAACK ! Please join us for our annual Alderfest on the Pioneer road!
We marvel at the adaptability of alders, but keeping these trees from choking off our ski trails and roads is a necessary and important piece of work that we have to do each year.
When: Saturday, October 31st – 9am til the alders are gone!
Where: Pioneer Road (near end of N Douglas Hwy)
What to Bring: Work gloves, loppers or stout clippers (if you have), and friends and family.
What Else to Know: We’ll focus on the “hot spots” that begin just before Peterson Creek bridge, then outbound to the end of the road. A shuttle will be running from the gate to the end of the road, or feel free to run/bike out there. Our goal is to pull all that we can out of the ground, roots and all (pulling the roots out is ideal as it impedes future growth), and then clip what we can’t pull. Come for an hour or the whole time, right at 9am or later in the day. Just come!
Can’t make it Saturday? Head out there on your own time and pull to your heart’s desire!
