Lake

Lake surface scoured by wind with resulting sastrugi. North south legs of loops covered by multiple low drifts, 6 to 10 inches high, spaced about every 32 1/4 feet. Inner lanes of loops very icy. Outer lanes groomed for skate. Machine can knock the crowns off the drifts but not level them. Nice skate surface with low humps is the result. No classic set. Old tracs drifted in or obliterated in spots. BF
